We had such a wonderful visit at La Terraza Guesthouse. It was the perfect alternative to staying in San José. The room was clean and well appointed with wifi. You can hear the river from the room! It was so relaxing! We enjoyed a delicious breakfast on the terraza and a garden tour of amazing Costa Rican fruits. We will definitely return on our next visit to CR!

I found this place by 5 star rated, it’s very cozy and comfortable. I came here in this side of Costa Rica “Grecia” to meet up with my realtor to look for a property somewhere around Grecia in a gated community with gates and guards… employees are very kind and friendly!! Just keep in mind that after certain time no one is here but you can always contact the owner by his cellphone and he is not just so kind and compassionate but also quickly answers the call.. They have an area called the garden that a river runs there it and you can hear it all day and night!! I LOVE the sound of it.. Breakfast is also included but if you want to eat something else like me that I like to have some eggs, no problem!! When I come back again, I will stay here again..

A beautiful peaceful place. We stayed only one night but would definitely stay again. Comfortable room with everything we needed, including the sound of the stream at night. We enjoyed the gardens & the colorful murals on the buildings & breakfast was delicious!

We only stayed for one night, but after seeing the property we wish we could have stayed longer. We were honestly just looking for a nice place to stay for our last night in Costa Rica that would not be too far from the airport. We were very pleasantly surprised by the comfort of the room (loved our welcome muffins!) and the look of the property. We were greeted personally and given a tour of our lodging before we went down to dinner. We had excellent communication from the owner and were able to arrange in advance to have dinner upon our late afternoon arrival. The food was tailored to our preferences and restrictions and was delicious. We had a chance to walk the grounds and loved the many murals adorning the various buildings. Breakfast the next day was generous and tasty.

La Terraza Guest House is a beautiful property surrounded by beautiful foliage in a park like setting. It is in a serene setting where all you'll hear are the songs of the beautiful birds in the morning. There is a hot full breakfast ready every morning to get your day started, along with a fruit smoothie, coffee and tea. If you love seeing hummingbirds, you will get an eyeful. There is a river that runs through the property and if you love the sound of flowing water, this is for you! It is only about 10 minutes to get to downtown Grecia where there are restaurants and coffee shops, ice-cream shops, a beautiful central park, and many other types of shops, including banks. The owner was extremely hospitable, along with the host and the other employees who were friendly and warm. The owner and host will assist with setting up excursions and can make recommendations on where to go for day trips. We enjoyed our time there and highly recommend this establishment.

So many reasons to love my stay....Charles and the staff are relaxed, warm and welcoming, even though I arrived late in the evening. Because my phone wasn't working, Charles kindly woke me up at 4:30 AM so that I could catch my ride to the airport when I left! My room was spacious, spotless and lovely, and had a private balcony overlooking a murmuring brook that sang to me all night through my open slider. The grounds are private and verdant, and yet convenient to Grecia's restaurants, etc. A traditional Costa Rican breakfast in the shaded courtyard , complete with CR's famous coffee, couldn't have been more idyllic. Every detail from the homemade cookies in my room to the vine-covered gate contribute to the Guest House's tranquil atmosphere. I hope to return someday!

My family of four (2 adults and 2 young kids) stayed at La Terraza for 3 nights. We had a wonderful stay! The room was spacious and clean. The garden was beautiful and was a lovely place to stroll. My 4 year old really enjoyed seeing all the different fruit and citrus trees. The garden is truly an oasis. The breakfasts changed daily and were all DELICIOUS. The employees were very kind and helpful. We will definitely plan to stay here again!

We spent two nights here and really enjoyed our stay. The grounds are beautiful and a walk in the garden by the river was amazing. One immediately relaxes. Beautiful plantings, birds and butterflies surround the breakfast area. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious. They paid attention to my need to eat gluten free. What really makes the place extra special is the owner, Charles. He is a wonderful person and I so enjoyed our conversations and appreciated his kindness, advice and attention to detail. John, his assistant was also lovely and a pleasure to chat with.
